Volya, or “freedom” in English, is a silent auction and cultural exhibition to raise awareness and aid for the Ukrainian people through a collaboration with an Austin-based Ukrainian coalition.

This painting depicts the long-lasting battle between modern and classic movements in culture and the idea that not one of them is better than the other. Our eyes will always be equally attracted by classic traditional beauty and the courage to break the rules.

This work is about the unity that Ukrainian people show in the face of the tragedy in their homes.
