Wedding at Liberty House, Jersey City

Liberty House in Jersey City hosted a wedding on April 10, 2026, for 170 guests, and the room was upbeat from the start. People were clearly there to celebrate the couple, and the energy carried through dinner, the speeches and the dancing.

Three artists sketched in the Runway style for four and a half hours and finished 162 portraits on 5x7 paper, close to one for every person in the room. Guests were eager to get theirs, and the photo line at our host's table rarely emptied: about twenty seconds for the photo, back to the party, and a text when the sketch was ready to collect.

The most personal part of the night was a full hour in which family members read aloud what they had written to the bride and groom. Everyone stayed seated and listened, and the artists kept drawing from photos taken earlier so the portraits were ready when the readings ended. The parents on both sides made a point of thanking the artists.
