Baby Shower in Brooklyn

Seventeen guests, a 26th-floor lounge with a view over Brooklyn, and one artist drawing through the party: that was the baby shower on July 26, 2026. It was a small, close group, and the mother-to-be was excited to see each of her best friends drawn from a quick photo and hand the sketches out as they came off the artist's table.

The artist made 29 sketches over the event, so most guests had their photo taken more than once or paired up for a portrait together. Between rounds of photos, one of the guests, a drag queen, gave a speech and then a performance for the room. Guests were happy with their sketches and took them home at the end of the shower.
