The evening
Thirty-five guests gathered at a private home in Dallas on July 18, 2026, for a baby shower. The mood was light and there were a lot of smiles in the room, with the afternoon centered on the parents-to-be and the arrival everyone had come to celebrate.
Two artists sketched for two and a half hours and produced 35 portraits, one for every guest. A baby shower is a good fit for this format: the group is small enough that our host can photograph every guest early in the afternoon, and the sketches then come back one by one, each announced by a text and picked up at the table, signed and in a protective sleeve.
The sketches went home with guests as a keepsake from the day, a small personal souvenir that outlasts the usual party favor.
