Corporate Fundraiser at The Art Institute of Chicago

A fundraiser at The Art Institute of Chicago on May 15, 2026, drew 375 guests in support of a future where LGBTQ+ students learn about discrimination in the classroom rather than experience it in the hallways. The crowd dressed for the museum, with a lot of artistic and expressive outfits that gave the artists good material.

Four artists sketched in the Runway style for two hours and completed 96 portraits on 5x7 paper. With four tables running at once, the line moved quickly even at that size of event.

Drag performers walked the floor taking photos with guests, a DJ played through the evening, and there was a dessert spread and bar service. The sketches gave people something to take home from a night that was already full of things to look at.
