Corporate Party at The Marlene, Houston

An energy company gathered its lawyers and engineers for a happy hour at The Marlene in Houston on August 20, 2026. Small plates were passed while guests caught up with colleagues, and two Alisa Maxime Studio artists sketched at a table set up in the room, finishing 33 portraits before the evening wrapped.

The pace was easy and the room stayed relaxed. Guests came over in twos and threes for a quick photo, went back to their conversations, and several returned later for a second sketch with a different group. A couple working the event as vendors were photographed as well and left with a custom painting of their own. It was a low-key, well-mannered crowd, and the sketches gave a standard after-work gathering something to talk about.
