The evening
Walmart ran a pop-up shop at 210 Lafayette in New York on May 2, 2026, for a new line and a Devil Wears Prada drop, and live fashion sketching was part of the in-store program. One artist from Alisa Maxime Studio sketched shoppers for four hours in the Runway style, 5x7 inch portraits.
The mood in the store was laid-back. The staff was friendly, and there was plenty going on, including a gift of beauty products for shoppers who reached a spending threshold. Shoppers stopped for a quick photo between racks, kept browsing while the artist drew, and came back to the table for a fashion portrait to carry out alongside their bags.
