Wedding at Firehouse Chicago

Firehouse Chicago is a brick venue with green plants climbing the full height of one wall, small and cozy, and it hosted a wedding on August 29, 2026. Two artists from Alisa Maxime Studio set up inside and sketched 107 guests over the course of the reception.

The guest list was close family and friends, with a lot of cousins in the room. The groom made his entrance to the reception by sliding down the building's firefighter pole, and the dancing went on from there. Guests came by the sketching table between songs and left with a portrait of themselves in their wedding outfits.
