Wedding at The Blue Magnolia, Magnolia, Texas

The Blue Magnolia, an equestrian-inspired farmhouse venue in Magnolia, Texas, hosted a wedding for around 200 guests on May 22, 2026. The day moved from the ceremony into a cocktail hour and then a seated dinner, with a live band providing the entertainment through the evening.

Two artists sketched for four hours during the cocktail hour and reception. Working in the Runway style, 5x7 inch portraits at about 12 guests per hour each, they completed 96 sketches.

The dinner setup was carefully done, and guests had their portraits in hand to take home with them at the end of the night.
